Well, welcome back. It's been a little while (cough) since the last Lego Heights story. With good reason, mind. Well, reasons. Anyway, let's not go into that. Instead, let's concentrate on what's new and exciting about this strip! Firstly, I've widened my panel template a little (still allowing for people with an 800x600 resolution, of course) so there's a bit more room for speech bubbles, which I always have trouble fitting in. Secondly, this is the first story made using the new, improved actual model of Lego Heights. You don't actually get to see that much of it here, and what you do see will look pretty much the same as before, but trust me, it's better. I'll point out the highlights as we go on.

And thirdly, this comic was made using my new, highly powerful and easy-to-use digital camera. You might notice an improvement in the quality (I certainly have) - particularly in some of the following pages. Still got the occasional problem with light, my greatest nemesis, but I no longer have to weld the camera to a block of wrought iron in order to guarantee that the picture won't come out blurry - anti-shake technology, fantastic. Many of the later photos were taken entirely freehand, first time, as opposed to my previous normal practice of balancing the camera on something and taking three or four shots just in case.

Anyway, what can I say about this first page? Hmmm. Panel 1 contains a clear picture of a coffee table model I made a while ago, that I'm particularly pleased with. You'll note that it doesn't go with any of the rest of the furniture, but that's kind of the point, isn't it? Panel 2 looks a bit blurry, for some reason. I hadn't noticed that until now. Oh, and those sand green 1x1 tiles on the furniture are supposed to be cushions.

What's with decorating makeover programs anyway? They're everywhere. I probably should have gone for a more adventurous parody ('Celebrity Bantha Makeover' perhaps) but this kind of works.
