I've broken my own rule. When I started this site, I decided I'd post everything I drew, no matter how bad, because it would inspire me to draw better. I've now changed my mind on that. Why? Mainly because although I've been drawing for the past few weeks, I've mostly been dissatisfied with the results.

Penny Arcade this week highlighted their PA Presents section, which contains some fantastic stuff. I've tried to draw using Gabe's style before, but didn't really sit down to study it in any detail. So now I have.

Most of these drawings are based on characters from those works. I basically picked a drawing and tried to copy the style, if not the exact picture. It's really enjoyable to draw like this, because the style is quite bold and flowing, which I like.

The last two on the right are some I just drew using the style, rather than copying a particular drawing. I'm going to do some more, and try inking them. Might even try some colouring.

Yes, it has been a while since anything's been added here, hasn't it? Been quite busy, also in another country for a while. Back now, and badly in need of some sketching (and sketching practise). Some random figures for you. More soon.
